Jack Grealish is winning his race to be fit for the Liverpool game.
We face the Reds on Saturday with a 3pm kick-off.
Grealish hobbled off against Man City and was absent for the Carabao Cup clash with Wolves with a calf problem.
But Dean Smith, in his press conference, confirmed that his skipper had returned to training on the eve of the Reds clash.
What Smith must now decide is if Grealish is fit to start against the current league leaders.
In other good news, Jota will be back in training on Monday after recovering from a hernia operation.
There was frustrating news on Keinan Davis, however, who is expected to be out for up to a month with a hamstring issue that was identified in a scan.
