Dean Smith was true to his words as he worked his players hard during what he refers to as the ‘International Fixture Period’.
Smith doesn’t like the term ‘Break’ when others head off to represent their countries because he stresses it’s the perfect time to instil good habits and new concepts into his remaining players.
Following the Norwich win, he told the media: "My lads won't like to hear me say this but it's not an 'International Break' it's an 'International Fixture Period' for us because they're in for a few days.
"The lads who are on international duty, we wish them well and they have to go and work, so the lads who are still here will work as well."
It’s definitely been a good week as preparations continue ahead of next weekend’s Brighton fixture.
