Competition: Premier League
Venue: Carrow Road
Kick-off: 3pm

At a glance

Aston Villa face Norwich City at Carrow Road in their final game before the latest international break.

It was another close call again last weekend as we led twice against Burnley before eventually coming away with a draw, and focus is now on securing the full three points.

It's set to be a gripping watch for any football fan this afternoon, with both Villa and the Canaries having been praised for their style of play already this term, having both won promotion back to the top flight last May.

Team news

Tyrone Mings, Matt Targett and Henri Lansbury are all set to be involved at Norwich.

Mings and Targett picked up niggles against Burnley a week ago, but have overcome them, while Lansbury returns from an ankle injury that ruled him out.

Jonathan Kodjia, however, remains sidelined as he recovers from a fractured cheekbone, despite taking part in full training this week.

Dean Smith

"Their manager hasn’t changed his philosophy and they haven’t changed their squad too much. They will play a similar way to what they comfortably won the league with last season.

“I believe they only lost six games last season which just goes to show how well they did. They have beaten Man City at Carrow Road already this season, too. So it’s a tough game but every single one in this league is.

“We have full respect for what they are and what they did last season and who they are now.

“But one thing, in the two results they had against us last season, they haven’t played against this Aston Villa yet. Tyrone hasn’t played against them. John hasn’t played against them. There are a number of players who haven’t played against Norwich City with us yet.

“It’ll be an interesting game and one we’re looking forward to.”
