Matt Targett looks set to be fit to face Norwich – with Tyrone Mings and Jonathan Kodjia also available for the weekend.
Targett had to come off against Burnley with a hamstring issue but medical assessments have given him the all-clear to return to training.
There were worries for Mings, who was struggling in the closing stages of the Clarets clash but, again, he’s fine to take on the Canaries.
Kodjia is back in full training again and offers Dean Smith more options in the forward positions.
The Head Coach said: “Tyrone Mings had a whack on the shin. But he’s fine. He’s trained since.
“Matt Targett hasn’t trained yet since the weekend. But nothing showed up on the scan in terms of a hamstring issue, which is really pleasing. However, he certainly felt something so we’ve got be very cautious with him.
“But he will start training on Wednesday ready for the Norwich game.
“Jonathan Kodjia is training fully now with the mask on so we have people coming back from injury, which is good to see.”
Smith is also happy with the progress of James Chester but added: “He needs more minutes. We will get some more game-time into him.”
