The Aston Villa Foundation is looking for fundraisers to take part in this year’s Great Birmingham Run.
A 13.1 mile course through the heart of the city, the half marathon is an opportunity for Villa fans to raise money on behalf of the club’s official charity.
Taking place on 13 October, there is a £36 entry fee payable to the event organisers via the event website.
Once you’ve secured your entry to the event, email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm that you’ll be running on behalf of the Foundation.
By entering into the Great Birmingham Run, participants will receive a medal and t-shirt, a goodie bag upon finish, free training advice and a timing chip for accurate results.
The half marathon starts on New Street before heading out to Stirchley via Cannon Hill Park. Runners will then head back into the city centre and cross the finishing line near Aston University.
All funds raised will benefit the Foundation and the work they do within the local community to improve people’s lives.
The Foundation deliver 250 programmes each and every week to over 6,500 people, addressing needs across education, health and wellbeing, young people, disability and physical activity.
