Callum O’Hare says there are “great vibes” in the dressing room ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign.
O’Hare has been a standout star of the U23 team over the past few seasons before spending time on loan at Carlisle United and impressing everyone at Brunton Park.
He’s back at Bodymoor now and stressed the quality of the new boys, the energy in camp and the excitement of everyone connected with the club.
There’s an excitement around the place. There are great vibes here.
He told Club TV: “I’m buzzing after coming through the ranks and now being in and around the first team. It’s been really good for me.
“The new lads have settled in really well and it’s great to be training with them.
“There’s an excitement around the place. There are great vibes here. The lads know what a good group of players they are and now it’s about showing it.”
O’Hare enjoyed a 20-minute cameo in the 5-1 away friendly win over Walsall and he was delighted to be involved – and was impressed watching on during the goal flurry.
He added: “I thought the lads played really well at the start of the game. I came on and just tried to get a feel for it and get some minutes under my belt.
“When you’ve only got 20 minutes to impress, it’s important you work hard, try and get on the ball and show everyone what you can do.
“Overall, I thought we played very nice football and scored some good goals. It was good watching on from the sidelines. Now it’s on to Charlton at the weekend.”
