Marisa Ewers says she’s determined to help Aston Villa Women achieve promotion this season.
Ewers is one of three new signings to have joined the club this summer alongside Melissa Johnson and Ella Franklin-Fraiture.
She’s aiming high after arriving from Birmingham City as she looks to help the claret and blues take a big step in the club’s journey.
She told Club TV: “It’s a new challenge.
“I think the goal to get promoted next season is great. It’s a goal that everyone wants to reach now here. I am happy to be part of it.
“I am excited to be on the pitch and help us get there. It’s a club that’s going places.
“It feels good to join. I can’t wait to get started. I’m excited. To play for such a big and traditional club, too, is great.
“We will do great. It will be a great challenge. I can’t wait to start.”
German youth international Ewers, who can play in defence and midfield, brings Women’s Super League pedigree after making 28 appearances for Blues since moving to England from Bayer Leverkusen in 2016.
