Brian Little pays special visit as lifelong supporter turns 100

A lifelong Aston Villa supporter received a special visit at his home on Wednesday as he marked his 100th birthday.

Fred Rainsford was celebrating his centenary with his family in Worcestershire when club legend Brian Little dropped by to surprise him.

Rainsford, a World War II veteran, has recently moved away from Birmingham due to ill health to be nearer to family.

And he was greeted with an unforgettable gesture from Little, who dropped in for a chat and delivered a signed Aston Villa pennant.

The pennant sits alongside Rainsford's congratulatory 100th birthday message from Her Majesty The Queen.

Happy Birthday, Fred!
