Dean Smith says he'll take Manchester United at Old Trafford first up on our return to the Premier League.
Fixtures for our first season back in the top flight will be released at 9am on Thursday 13th June.
And with plenty of huge contests to look forward to for 2019/20, our Head Coach is happy to jump straight in at the deep end, following a gesture from one of the game's legendary figures.
He said: "I've not thought about it too much. But maybe Manchester United away.
"I had a nice text of Sir Alex Ferguson on Monday.
"He said I can pop into his office afterwards and enjoy a nice glass of wine with him.
"I'll relish pitting my wits against some of the best coaches in the world.
"It gives me the opportunity to test myself. We're all trying to get better.
"I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead.
“People might laugh at me, but when we come up against the likes of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, I want to try and win those games. That’s how we will approach it.”
CEO Christian Purslow also admits he's relishing battles against the big six – two of whom he has worked at before.
He added: "It'll be amazing to back to Anfield and Stamford Bridge with this club, which I now love."
