Tyrone Mings is delighted to be off to Wembley for the Play-Off Final with Aston Villa – and just as thrilled to reward our fans who’ve backed the team all season.
Mings made special mention of the claret and blue army in his post-match interview as he hailed their impact in driving the team on.
He also spoke of the tight bond in the dressing room – and the never say die attitude of the players.
They have given us great support home and away. To reward them with a trip to Wembley is vitally important
He said: “The scenes at the end show what a big club this is. Absolutely.
“Everyone knows the size of the fanbase. They have given us great support home and away.
“To reward them with a trip to Wembley is vitally important – and it’s the least they deserve.”
On the team, he added: “There’s never-say-die attitude here.
“Since I got here, there’s been a great atmosphere among the lads.
“Our run of results has also shown we have a resilience. We always seem to find a way.
“We are obviously delighted to get through. It was difficult. But credit to the lads.
“There’s a great set of lads here. They never give up and they never know when they’re beaten.”
