Axel Tuanzebe looks set to be fit to face Leeds next weekend – but Tammy Abraham will likely miss out.
Dean Smith gave an injury update on the final whistle on the record-breaking 10th successive victory as we saw off Millwall.
Smith said he “couldn’t risk” Tuanzebe but the centre-half will be available for Sunday’s trip to Elland Road.
Depite being out for that clash, Smith is still hopeful on Abraham as he believes the shoulder issue isn’t as serious as it could have been.
He told Club TV: “Tammy has damaged his shoulder.
“He’s had a scan on it. There’s nothing displaced with it, I don’t believe. There’s nothing damaged. He probably won’t be ready for Leeds. But he will be back before the end, that’s for sure.
“Axel will be fine for Leeds. He rolled his ankle. But we couldn’t risk him today with the potential of further games down the line in the Play-Offs.”
