Kortney Hause says the key to his blossoming centre-back pairing with Tyrone Mings is that they’ve “clicked” on and off the pitch.
Hause says he’s struck up a good relationship with Mings and that this has ensured good chemistry on the field, with the duo clocking up three wins in three games together.
Talking to Club TV, he said: “Tyrone and I have a good relationship – and that’s on and off the pitch.
“He’s come in from Bournemouth. I’ve arrived from Wolves. We didn’t know each other but we’ve just clicked. We’ve clicked from the start.
“He’s a good guy, a good player and I feel very comfortable playing alongside him, whether that’s to the right of him in a central two or to the left of him as a full-back.
“I think that little click is so important in football. I’d like to think you can see that good relationship on the pitch.
“We’re always in covering positions. If one of us makes a mistake, the other one is right there to help out.
“We’re doing well. We have to keep getting on at each other, keep pushing each other and look to improve game by game.”
Hause is proud with the defensive record which has seen the team soar into the Championship top six.
He paid tribute to the resilience shown – and the quality alongside him.
He added: “Jed has been outstanding. Neil has been very, very good. Elmo is very consistent.
“We’re doing well. We’re working well.
“Being part of the back five right now is really, really good. We need to stick at it and keep going.”
