Superfan John Kibble celebrated his 90th birthday today with a special pitchside meet-and-greet with Head Coach Dean Smith and CEO Christian Purslow.
Kibble headed out before kick-off and was warmly welcomed by his fellow claret and blue supporters as well as Smith and Purslow.
It was a lovely moment for the nonagenarian who enjoyed the moment thoroughly.
John was taken to his first-ever Aston Villa match by his father in April 1939 against Preston North End and so a lifelong passion began at the age of 10.
He was an encyclopaedic knowledge of the club and has attended numerous big matches, including the European Cup Final.
In fact, he actually flew out and back the same day from Rotterdam as he had an important business meeting the following day.
Aston-born John now lives in Stoke-on-Trent but remains a season ticket holder and makes the journey down to every home game.
Congratulations John – truly #PartOfThePride.
