Jack Grealish looks set to miss the Leeds United game – but there was some good news for Dean Smith with Birkir Bjarnason, Albert Adomah and Mile Jedinak potentially available on Sunday.
Grealish is currently in a protective boot as the claret and blue medical staff get to the bottom of his issue.
Bjarnason is back in full training while Adomah and Jedinak should return to the fields of Bodymoor Heath on Saturday.
Henri Lansbury is looking unlikely to face Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
The Head Coach said: “Jack will still be missing. He has the medical staff a bit confused at the moment.
“He has a protective boot on at present because we need to proceed with caution.
“We’re not sure if it’s a bone stress injury or a problem with the soleus muscle with the attachment.
“It’s one we’re looking at. We’re taking it day by day. He’s certainly unlikely to play the next couple of games.
“I’m hoping Albert will be training with us tomorrow. He’s pretty much flat-out running at the moment. Hopefully he’s available to be with us in the morning and then be in the squad for Sunday.
“Henri will struggle for Sunday. Preston is more likely for him. He upped his training the other week but still felt it slightly.
“Mile will train tomorrow and we’ll have a look at him.
“BB is available. He’s trained with us for the last couple of days.”
