Team news: Adomah, Lansbury, Bjarnason

Aston Villa v Stoke City: Harvey Nichols in McGregor's Lounge Press Conference hot topics: Smith on West Brom clash, two freescoring teams, '48 chances' of success and James Collins
Team news: Adomah, Lansbury, Bjarnason

Albert Adomah is highly doubtful for the West Brom clash.

We take on the Baggies at 8pm on Friday.

Adomah has been all but ruled out by head coach Dean Smith, who says the winger “will struggle and is still sore” ahead of the Albion clash.

Our head coach expects him to be ready for Stoke City next weekend.

Smith confirmed that Henri Lansbury also won’t make the WBA encounter – and is approximately a fortnight away from being back in training.

Birkir Bjarnason, meanwhile, is back in light training.

Bjarnason has “started jogging” on the training fields, just two weeks after groin surgey.

Smith is relishing having Bjarnason “pushing for selection soon”.
