#DistinctlyVilla: No.46 – Samba King

We continue our new feature - #DistinctlyVilla.

The illustration series will pay tribute to everything good about our great club.

From the formation in 1874 all the way through to the appointment of Dean Smith, we bring you the greatest people, moments, places and quotes.

The designs have been beautifully created by Marcus Marritt.

Today, at No.46, we acknowledge the alternative moniker of our long-serving right-back Alan Hutton.

Hutton, who has been with us since 2011 when he arrived from Tottenham Hotspur, is known as ‘The Scottish Cafu’.

It’s an affectionate nickname, referencing the highly-regarded former Brazilian ace – and his love, like Hutton, of bombing up and down the right flank.
