A brand-new website for the club’s Fifty50 matchday draw has been launched today, giving fans from around the world the chance to win a cash prize while supporting charitable causes via the Aston Villa Foundation.
The website has been revamped from last season and now offers supporters an opportunity to sign up to a subscription service to make sure they never miss a draw, with the added incentive of a ‘second chance draw’ that gives subscribers a chance to win unique Aston Villa prizes.
Adding another new element to Fifty50, second and third place prizes will be awarded for selected matchday draws during the season.
Supporters will still be able to purchase tickets on every matchday at Villa Park from sellers situated around the outside of the stadium.
At every home match, 50 per cent of the prize pot goes to one lucky winner while the remaining 50 per cent supports the delivery of community projects and activities through the Aston Villa Foundation.
Local charities, voluntary organisations and sports clubs in and around Birmingham are among the worthy causes that receive help through Supporting Our Own, which is the club’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
Launched in September last year, the initiative’s main aim is to enhance and expand the work of the Foundation and the club within the local community.
Fans have the chance to play their part in ensuring the continued success of the Foundation’s work by purchasing Fifty50 tickets
The winner will be announced on the scoreboard at the end of the half-time interval, and on the Foundation’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
