Jonathan Kodjia was on the Aston Villa scoresheet for the first time since September 2017 as we drew 1-1 with Ipswich Town at the weekend.

The Ivorian has been blighted by injury in the last 18 months, but has now enjoyed a good run of games having banked a full pre-season.

And after he assisted the winner in the Carabao Cup in midweek, he got his long-awaited first goal of the campaign at Portman Road.

Assisted yet again by John McGinn, Kodjia beautifully glanced his header into the far left corner to re-announce himself on the goalscoring stage.
