New Aston Villa loan signing Ørjan Nyland says he's excited to be part of a big club and play in front of a fanbase he's heard all about from afar.
The 27-year-old penned a three-year deal at Villa Park on Monday, joining from German side FC Ingolstadt.
And all Nyland's attentions are now on securing a place in the team so he can play in front of the support that's earned an impressive reputation across Europe.
He said: "I'm looking forward to being a part of this big club.
"I can't wait to play in front of the fans – I've heard they're really quite fantastic. I'm looking forward to experiencing their support for myself.
"Aston Villa are big in Norway, and were especially when John Carew was at the club. That's why I watched a lot of our games growing up and how I know the scale of it.
"I'm looking forward to being a part of its history for myself.”
