Ahmed Elmohamady is back in training but faces a race to be fit for the Play-Off Final.
Elmohamady injured his hamstring in the first leg semi-final against Middlesbrough and missed the second leg with the troublesome issue.
Steve Bruce revealed today that Elmohamady is ahead of schedule and returned to the fields of the Recon Training Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday.
He could well be in contention on Saturday against Fulham – although he’ll have a late fitness test.
Bruce is unsure whether he’ll be fit enough to feature – and is unlikely to risk him if he’s not 100%.
He said: "The next 24-48 hours are crucial.
"He's trained for the past two days. He could be in contention.
"We'll make a decision on Friday."
Elmohamady is our only injury doubt heading into the Play-Off Final.
