Aston Villa U23s have arrived in Hong Kong ahead of the annual Soccer Sevens tournament hosted in the country.
And coach Mark Delaney has taken a good chunk of the squad that won the Premier League Cup and finished as runners-up in Premier League 2 Division 2 this season.
Villa Young Player of the Season award winner Callum O'Hare is among those included in the squad for the competition we won in 2002, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2016.
The likes of Mitch Clark, Alex Prosser, Corey Blackett-Taylor, Jordan Cox and Kelsey Mooney are other regular U23 starters who have travelled.
Delaney said: "It's an experienced team we've taken in terms of players having sampled first-team football, U23s football and the Hong Kong tournament itself.
"It's a strong group this year. We're looking to come back with the trophy and go one better than last time around."
The Young Lions have pedigree in this competition – with no club having won more titles than us (6) since its inaugural year in 1999.
We last tasted success in 2016, before losing out in the final last year to Leicester City.
This time around, we faced Hong Kong FC Captain's Select, Kitchee and Cagliari Calcio in the group stages on Saturday, and are set to play Leicester City in the knockout rounds on Sunday.
