Steve Bruce spoke to Club TV following the goalless draw that saw us past Middlesbrough in the Play-Off semi-final second leg.
His thoughts are in full below.
On reaching Wembley...
I'm delighted for everyone associated with the club – those who work for it and support it. Especially the latter, they make this a big club.
They deserve it, and now we have to win.
Can we overcome Fulham in the final now? If we do, it'll be a fantastic end to the season.
On a nervy night at Villa Park...
It's always going to be a bit nervy, a bit tense. They always are when there's so much at stake.
But overall, over the two legs, we've been the better side defensively over the two legs – they've only had one shot on target in the two games.
We were really good, really organised.
We kept two clean sheets and deserve to go through for that reason.
On ensuring our season didn't end at this stage...
I feel sorry for Middlesbrough. I know what it's like.
They've got an outstanding manager, a great chairman and are a big club.
To overcome them has taken some doing. Let's see if we can go one further again.
They're a very good side. We know what to expect.
