Premier League Cup quarter-final date confirmed

Villa will head to Middlesbrough for the Premier League Cup quarter-final – and the date has today been set.

Mark Delaney’s Young Lions will face Boro on Monday 9th April with a 7pm kick-off at Bishop Auckland Football Club.

We defeated Blackburn 2-0 to reach this stage while Boro knocked out Liverpool.

In other news, Leicester City have been drawn to face Wolverhampton Wanderers, the holders Swansea City will host Brighton & Hove Albion if they get past Bristol City, while Newcastle United face a trip to Sheffield United.

All matches will be one-off and decided by extra-time and penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes.

In other news, our Premier League 2 encounter at Newcastle United, originally postponed on 2nd March, will now be played on Friday 20th April at St James’ Park with a 7pm kick-off.
