POTPFlagFlying the flag for Villa

Villa Park will be a sea of claret this weekend for the Wolves clash.

It's a huge game against the table-toppers - and to help matchday hit the right notes we're giving away 10,000 hand waver flags - pictured here - on Saturday for supporters to fly with pride.

They'll be handed out from inside the concourse as fans arrive and will be available on a first come first served basis.

Make sure you don't wave goodbye to your flags on the final whistle though.

Keep hold of them because we'll be doing it all over again for the other home matches before the end of the campaign.

EuroBookCoverEuro delight

The claret and blue faithful are helping to shape a new book about the club's adventures in Europe, which is due for publication in the next few months.

After supporters were invited on Twitter to make suggestions for a title, Andrew Horton came up with the winning submission - Euros & Villans.

And now, following a Park Life poll, Villa fans have had their say on the cover design.

Three concepts were offered - and the overwhelming winner is the one depicting the shirt worn by the team in the 1982 European Cup final triumph over Bayern Munich.

Over 80 per cent voted for this simple but effective design, which has now been officially endorsed by author Rob Bishop.

"To be honest, that was my initial choice," said the club's former programme editor.

"My one slight reservation was that was too specific to one game. But quite a few people pointed out that it's THE iconic game in Villa's history!"

The design has now been revised to incorporate the wording on the shirt worn by Villa's players in the final, although the book covers much more than that never-to-be-forgotten night in Rotterdam.

All 89 of Villa's ties in various UEFA competitions are featured in Euros & Villans, which will have be a limited edition of just 1,982 copies

Supporters offered the chance to pre-order and have their names included.

Ace Academy

Here are the first shots of our newly-redesigned Indoor Academy.

We've teamed up with creative agency White Hype to give the building a light refresh - and you'll be able to see it for the Wolves match this weekend.

It's been made possible thanks to a match-funded scheme called the Premier League Fans Fund - administered by the Football Foundation.

IndoorAcademyFinishIt has come about as a result of club chiefs from the Aston Villa Foundation hoping to make the facility "lighter, brighter and more welcoming to supporters" especially our Young Lions who come in ahead of their Home Debut experience on matchdays.

The design work has club legends, senior stars and academy aces donning the walls alongside our mascots Hercules and Bella.

MoinYounisAppealMoin needs your help

Moin Younis has always been devoid of hope in his bid for a normal life but now there could be a chance - and you could help.

Moin undergoes an excruciating regime in order to live with an extremely rare skin condition.

Moin has known nothing else since he was diagnosed with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) at just two-months-old, with his parents told by doctors that their son wouldn't live past his first birthday.

But now, at 18-years-old, a medical breakthrough has offered Moin hope he could one day be free from the blisters that plague his skin, which can tear at the slightest touch.

A new clinical trial, which is only available in Austria, uses innovative skin graft treatment to help patients with EB grow their own skin and cover previously open wounds.

Moin is attempting to raise the £250,000 it would take to cover his flights, medical bills, accommodation and living expenses if he was given the green light to receive the treatment - which could take as long as two years to complete.

He is good friends with Gabby Agbonlahor, and it was through the Villa striker that the current squad came together to donate £20,000 to the Mo Fund.

Chief Executive Keith Wyness has pledged to donate another £20,000 to the cause if supporters can match the players' donation.

You can support Moin Younis reach his fundraising goal!

Get in the right lane

The Holte End will pilot a cashless payment lane at the Wolves game this weekend.

The lane, in Holte End Lower near Blocks L1 and L2, will enable use of contactless technology in the new Season Ticket/Club Member cards.

The new lanes will ensure Season Ticket holders and Club Members can beat the queues for food and drink on matchdays.

You can use standard debit and credit cards but remember that payments made via eCash will also be allocated points to spend in Pride Rewards accounts!

We are continuously looking at ways in which to improve the matchday experience for fans - and we hope this will be welcomed by our most loyal of supporters.

It will be trialled throughout the season - with other areas of the stadium operating as normal.
