Steve Bruce has made one change to the starting XI that lost at Fulham at the weekend, with Josh Onomah coming in for the visit of Preston North End.

Albert Adomah and Jack Grealish remain unavailable through injury, while Ahmed Elmohamady drops onto the bench having come off at half-time at Craven Cottage.

Sam Johnstone, Axel Tuanzebe, John Terry, James Chester and Alan Hutton retain their places in the back five.

Then it's Robert Snodgrass, Mile Jedinak, Conor Hourihane, Birkir Bjarnason and Onomah in midfield.

Scott Hogan leads the line, with Lewis Grabban and Keinan Davis both on the bench as attacking options
