Up next: Villa's week ahead

The Boss: Bruce on end of winning streak, Preston and Grealish/Adomah injury timescales Ticket Office Bulletin [19/02/18]: Bolton away on sale online from 5pm
Up next: Villa's week ahead

No sooner did our seven-game winning run end on Saturday than we began focussing on starting our next one.

The 2-0 loss at Fulham was our first league defeat since Boxing Day, but we now have the chance to win those points back quickly over the next seven days.

Here's how our week shapes up as we bid to bounce back...

We're back in action just 72 hours after the loss at Craven Cottage, as Preston North End visit Villa Park.

The Lilywhites carry their own promotion hopes into the final 14 games of the season, sitting three points outside the play-off places.

They've also lost just six games all season, while we've only been defeated once at home – meaning there's high stakes surrounding the midweek fixture.

Tickets are on general sale and Season Ticket holders can also bring along a friend for the small price of £10, so don't miss out on this big clash under the lights.

It's another quick turnaround post-Preston, and we'll be building up to our next match at Sheffield Wednesday from Friday.

Steve Bruce's press conference will take place from approximately 9.30am at Bodymoor Heath, where he'll hopefully be aiming for back-to-back wins this week.

Hillsborough is our destination at the weekend, as we take on the aforementioned Owls from 3pm.

Wednesday have picked up in form of late, beating Derby County 2-0 on home soil last week, before holding Premier League Swansea to a draw in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Our last few away tickets were snapped up over the weekend, meaning we'll have another great following on the road with 4,630 Villans in attendance.

Best of the rest

Our U23 side are also busy this week, with two matches in the space of four days.

Kevin MacDonald's team take on Wolves in the league at Bescot Stadium tonight in hope of narrowing the gap to leaders Blackburn Rovers, before heading to Hednesford Town's Keys Park on Thursday to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League Cup.

Callum OHare hat-trick

Our Young Lions top Group E heading into the latter, and victory would confirm their place in the knockout rounds of the competition.

Aston Villa Ladies are also in action on Wednesday evening, at Tamworth FC, where they go up against WSL 2 leaders Doncaster Rovers Belles.
