Game details

Match: Leeds United v Aston Villa
Date: December 1, 2017
Competition: Sky Bet Championship
Venue: Elland Road

Team news

Steve Bruce has no fresh injury concerns aside of Mile Jedinak following on from last weekend's 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town.

Jedinak came off after 26 minutes at Villa Park with a shoulder injury, and will see a specialist on Monday. He is likely to be out until the New Year.

The Australian joins John Terry, Jonathan Kodjia, Gabby Agbonlahor and Andre Green on the sidelines.

Otherwise, it's set to be a similar matchday squad that earned three successive wins over QPR, Sunderland and Ipswich.

Ticket latest

Away tickets for our match at Leeds are SOLD OUT!

Thank you for your fantastic support.

Be at Villa Park for our games against Millwall and Sheffield United this month – our final home fixtures of 2017.

We go toe-to-toe with Millwall in the battle of the Lions at home next Saturday, before welcoming Sheffield United just before Christmas – a game that we're aiming to sell-out.

U16s can get into Villa Park for just £1 when accompanied by a full paying adult against Sheffield United.

We want our biggest attendance of the season so far for our Christmas cracker against the Blades – so take advantage of kids for a quid while you still can.

Click here for Sheffield United tickets.

Prices for the Sky Bet Championship games are £20 to £33 (adults), £15 to £20 (concessions), £10 to £17 (U21s), £5 to £10 (U16s) and £45 to £55 for a Family Package (two adults and two U16s).

Tickets for both matches are on general sale – and available now.

A message from Leeds United to Villa fans travelling to Elland Road

Leeds United looks forward to welcoming back Aston Villa FC on Friday 1st December.

In order to ensure a speedy and safe entry into the ground, we would respectfully ask fans not to bring any bags to the stadium.

Please do not travel if you do not have a ticket as this match is sold out and there are no away ticket sales.

Leeds United operates a full search regime for the safety of spectators coming to the ground, and we would ask that you arrive early to ensure everyone is in before kick-off.

There will be a dedicated away fans bar open from 1700, in the ground, selling food and drinks, including alcohol.

Alcohol will not be on sale after the game has started.

Please be aware that Leeds United has signed up to the football Charter for pyrotechnics and as such anyone found with a smoke bomb, or pyro will be arrested, and details returned via the Police to Aston Villa.

Villa fans are encouraged to come and support their team and enjoy the game.

Dugout analysis

Steve Bruce

Aston Villa against Leeds United would grace any league.

There's big support, big history and big tradition at both clubs.

It's bound to be a hostile atmosphere, too.

It's a really great game to be involved in.

They've got a very decent team, especially at the top end of the pitch – they're lively.

One thing we'll have to do is defend well.

We've been more than decent lately, so let's hope that continues.

Thomas Christiansen

I believe Aston Villa are one of the strongest teams in the Championship, they have a lot of quality in their side.

It’s a six point game as we always say in these situations, we are coming up against a very strong and tough opponent.

We will need to reach the levels that we did against Middlesbrough if we want to take the three points on Friday.

Our fans will be a big part for us on Friday, they were fantastic against Middlesbrough and in the away game at Barnsley, we feel that and need to feel it again at Elland Road.

Match stats

We've won in each of our last three Championship games, scoring two goals in each of those victories.

We've lost just one of our last seven Championship matches (W5 D1), and just two of our last 16 (W10 D4).

Steve Bruce has visited Elland Road six times previously as a manager, each time facing a different manager – Terry Venables, Peter Reid, John Carver, Neil Warnock, Steve Evans and Garry Monk.

Albert Adomah has scored five goals in his last six away appearances, and will look for his first strike at Elland Road.
