Analysis

Villa U23s returned to winning ways in Premier League 2 Division 2, beating Norwich City 2-1 at Carrow Road.

Callum O'Hare and Harry McKirdy bagged yet more goals for the Young Lions as they took all three points in Norfolk.

O'Hare, who made Steve Bruce's bench for the visit of Ipswich Town at Villa Park the previous day, netted after just seven minutes to mark an excellent start.

A goal from Tristan Abrahams then sent the teams in level at the break, before McKirdy broke clear and slotted past the Canaries goalkeeper for the winner.

Villa maintain fourth place in the Division 2 standings ahead of their Premier League Cup fixture against Sheffield United on Thursday.
