Striker boost

Dr Tony Xia could have found the perfect man to solve our striker shortage – Dr Tony Xia!

Our popular owner surprised staff by popping in for Thursday Night Football this week in the Indoor Academy.

DrTonyFootieAnd as well as having a great run-out with his B6 colleagues, Dr Tony also scored the winner.

Sign yourself up, Tony!

Tasty idea

How good would it be to order your food from your Villa Park seat and then collect when it’s ready?

Well this will be a reality very soon with the club looking to trial the innovative scheme, which would alleviate half-time queues.

The ‘Tapp App’ trial will take place in a specified concourse at a specified matchday in the New Year.

If successful, it could be rolled out across the ground by the end of the season.

The scheme would see fans use the Aston Villa App, available on iOS and Android, to order - with a notification appearing once the order is ready.

They would then head to the relevant food stall to collect.

Now that’s a tasty idea!

Prize where it lies to return

We're delighted to confirm our popular half-time competition 'Prize where it lies' returns next month.

It will be back against Millwall on December 9.

And our official club partners have put on an array of fantastic prizes for Villans who take part.

Three lucky fans each matchday will have the chance to enter the Villa Park pitch at the break and attempt to land one of the prizes.

Simply kick the ball from the Holte End byline towards the giant target laid over the centre circle and see if the ball lands on a prize.

You will be able to enter our 'Prize where it lies' competition via Pride Rewards.

Simply become a season ticket holder or a member and you’ll be able to use your points to enter.

Please note you must already have a match ticket to enter, too.

Not a season ticket holder or a member? Our half season tickets are available to buy now.

Our Claret (adult) Memberships and Cub (junior) Memberships are also on sale now.

BrucewithWilliamMainWhen are we signing Johnstone permanently?

The Duke of Cambridge made a guest appearance at Villa Park this week – and bombarded manager Steve Bruce with a host of claret and blue questions.

The Duke along with the Duchess headed into Villa Park to check out some fine Aston Villa Foundation community work running across Birmingham alongside Coach Core – and funded by their very own Royal Foundation.

After seeing first-hand the work of our hard-working Foundation, Prince William met up with Steve Bruce in the first team dressing room.

He didn’t hesitate in checking out the latest news, revealed Bruce.

He told us: “Sometimes in your job you get these perks. They were a delight.

“William is a big Villa fan and knew a lot.

“He was pleading with me to get Sam Johnstone tied up and make his deal permanent.

“We're pretty fortunate to have him as one of our big supporters. It's quite remarkable really. It was a very enjoyable day, I have to say.”

Enjoy Black Friday offer

Don't miss out on our Black Friday offers, available throughout the weekend until Monday at midnight.

That means you can get 20% off on official Aston Villa merchandise.

You can do this in the Villa Park shop or our Online Store.

FlagWeb1Backing for Rainbow Laces campaign

We will be showing our backing for the Rainbow Laces campaign this weekend as we face Ipswich Town.

Stonewall's campaign will be highlighted at Villa Park this weekend as we show our support for LGBT inclusivity.

The initiative is aimed at tackling barriers surrounding homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in modern sport as well as bringing the issues to a wider audience.

This year's campaign runs from November 24 to December 3 and James Chester will wear a rainbow captain armband.

There will also be rainbow pitch flags on show at all four sides of the stadium.
