Match: Aston Villa U18s v West Ham United U18s
Date: Saturday November 18
Competition: U18 Premier League
Venue: Bodymoor Heath

Analysis

A much changed Villa U18 line up lost 1-0 to West Ham United U18s at Bodymoor Heath.

The visitors took an early lead in the second minute when a slip in the penalty area by a Villa defender was duly punished.

For the remainder of the first half the young claret and blues played some excellent football in and around the West Ham penalty area but lacked the finishing touch and rarely troubled the opposition goalkeeper.

The second half followed a similar trend - Villa played some excellent football but again lacked the conviction in the final third.

Jacob Ramsey was a force in midfield, linking play very well throughout, while Indiana Vassilev made his first appearance from the bench.

Line-up

ASTON VILLA: Idem, Walker, Bridge, Birch, Patterson, Revon, Birch (Vassilev), Guy (Tait), Ramsey (Ige), Archer. Subs not used: Boucher, Burton.
