Jack Grealish and Henri Lansbury both look set to play for the U23s on Monday at Reading.
Grealish participated this week in the U23s 2-0 victory over Wolves and will be involved again when we travel to the Madejski this coming week.
Lansbury has been training and will step up his comeback for the Premier League 2 Division 2 encounter on Monday, too.
Mile Jedinak is “making good strides” according to Steve Bruce while the manager ruled out Gabriel Agbonlahor for a spell after revealing the long-serving striker has a calf problem.
He said: “We will have to box clever with Jack. He’s been out a long time.
“It’s good to see him out there. He’s been out for the best part of three months.
“It’s been good to see him back training. He’s had a good week and he got 60 minutes under his belt for the U23s on Monday.
“He will take part again on Monday. We will probably see Lansbury in the same sort of area too.
“Jedinak is making good strides. We are getting there.
“Gabby still has a calf injury – a tear. So he won’t make it.
“But the rest are making good progress. However, it’s too early for all four of them this weekend.”
