Social Sight: Suarez surprise, Courtois superstition and Batshuayi banter

Social Sight: Suarez surprise, Courtois superstition and Batshuayi banter

Suarez stuns

A group of Uruguayan youngsters visited the Camp Nou this week for a tour of the facilities, only to find that Barcelona had supplied a rather special tour guide.

Any guesses who it might be? You guessed right!

Hero of the Uruguay national team, Luis Suarez emerged to a group of youngsters and it’s fair to say they were a little astonished!

Got an itch?

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is likely to start for Belgium in their World Cup qualifier against Bosnia this weekend, giving fans another chance to witness his bizarre pre-match ritual.

Spotted by an eagle-eyed Chelsea fan, the imposing stopper’s quirky mannerisms have now gone viral.

With the camera famously moving down the line of players during the pre-match rendition of the national anthem, Courtois stands proudly singing.

However, there’s a twist, almost every time without fail, when the camera finally moves past him, he touches or strokes his chin.

Weeping Eagles

Crystal Palace have broken an English football record by going their first seven matches of the season without a point - or even a goal.

That’s despite former England manager, Roy Hodgson becoming manager some two games ago.

If you didn't laugh, you'd cry.

But happily Palace fans have still got their sense of humour and one Eagles fanzine has produced this superb Goal of the Month video – any guesses who wins?

Michy wants more

EA Sports has once again re-opened their debate with Michy Batshuayi about the Chelsea forward's FIFA 18 ratings by ‘trolling’ him in a clever video.

The Belgium international has repeatedly tweeted EA to complain that his overall score is not high enough, pointing towards his goalscoring record in the Premier League and Champions League so far this season.

After helping the Blues to a 2-1 win over Atletico, Batshuayi sent another message to EA as a gentle reminder, but their follow-up response proved hugely popular with FIFA fans as they teased the 23-year-old once again.

Grealish v Onomah

Jack Grealish and Josh Onomah helped us launch FIFA 18 this week with a game of ‘Him Or Me?’

Bought to you by Hisense, Jack and Josh are quizzed on a range of things by our own e-sports personality and Snapchat presenter, iLukas.

The boys have to decide who has the highest rating in that area by holding up a ‘Him’ board or a ‘Me’ board.

Check out the video below.
