Steve Bruce hopes to have Mile Jedinak available for the derby clash with Wolves – after revealing the midfielder is still nursing a groin injury.
Jedinak played in the Championship clash with Middlesbrough after a spell on the sidelines with the same issue over the summer.
He’s still not right but Bruce hopes the international break – where he won’t turn out for Australia – will do him the world of good as he fights to return to peak conditioning.
Henri Lansbury won’t make the Bolton game this weekend after failing to shake off a knee issue while Gabriel Agbonlahor is fit to face the Trotters.
Bruce spoke of his delight at seeing Jack Grealish “bouncing around” around Bodymoor Heath – and revealed that the playmaker was doing some running outside on the grass.
However he said he would have to “box clever” due to the serious nature of the injury he sustained.
Finally, he said Andre Green would be a “long time still” with the winger still in a brace.
