News & Record: John Terry the cover star as matchday programme returns

John Terry is the main attraction in our first full edition of the News & Record this season.

New skipper Terry is the cover star for Saturday’s programme against Hull City and he also features as the big interview too as he chats about the team’s hopes and ambitions for the coming season.

Also included, we hear from a captain of yesteryear as Andy Townsend, 1996 League Cup hero, tells us his favourite #MyVillaMoments.

Steve Bruce sets the scene with his manager’s column while Ian Taylor’s ‘Talking Tayls’ also returns.

There’s an extended junior section with more to do for our young Villans.

Villa Vault is back with a couple of new features while established claret and blue writer, Rob Bishop, brings you a regular column which charts Graham Taylor’s successful, promotion-winning 1987/88 campaign.

Fanzone brings you pictures and messages from you, the supporters, as well as news from Lions Clubs around the globe.

We also find out what everyday items our current first teamers couldn’t live without.

In a new feature, Danny Donachie - our Head of Medicine and Sports Science - discusses his role in our ‘Behind the Team’ article.

Also, don’t forget you’ll get the latest news regarding our ladies and youth teams.

In other news, our News & Record switches this term to A5 rather than the standard B5 with the price staying at £3.50.

We also have a new publisher – Ignition – who will help us bring to life the increased 84-page perfect-bound programme this coming campaign.

Overall, it’s a new feel for the News and Record but sprinkled with some familiar favourites!
