Albert Adomah says the players won’t be taking their foot off the gas for the final trio of games – starting with the derby against Birmingham City.
First up it’s Harry Redknapp’s Blues on Sunday, with a 12noon kick-off at Villa Park.
Adomah is fully focused on competing this campaign as strongly as possible.
We want to finish this season strongly. We won’t take our foot off the gas.
He said: “I know that fans are already asking questions like ‘Can next season be a special season? Can Villa achieve promotion next season?’
“I’m not thinking about that right now. We’ve still got three games to go and as a professional footballer, it’s up to me and my team-mates to show total focus on the remaining games.
“We want to finish this season strongly. We won’t take our foot off the gas.
“We have three games to go – an important derby match against Birmingham City, which I’m looking forward to and I’m sure the fans are looking forward to also.
“Then it’s Blackburn away and we finish with a home match against the potential champions Brighton.
“These games are what we need to concentrate on now. Then we can look to the summer and after that the challenges of next season when pre-season arrives.”
