Steve Bruce spoke to the club’s media team after the 3-1 defeat to Fulham.
His views are below.
On Jonathan Kodjia’s red card…
It was an act of petulance from Jon.
He was provoked. He’s reacted.
If they have to send Jon off, they have to send their player off too.
In my opinion, it was handbags stuff and the yellow card was warranted for both of them.
But to get the red card was cruel on us.
On Jack Grealish’s goal and return…
It was a great goal from Jack.
We all know the ability he has and he has reminded us of it again. I was very pleased for him.
It was just a pity we couldn’t wait and go on another 10 or 15 minutes because then, if we’d lasted a bit longer, they might have got a bit edgy.
On Mile Jedinak’s display..
Mile Jedinak is a colossus. He’s some man.
He keeps himself in great shape and he was right to play the two games in 48 hours.
He was terrific and I was very, very pleased with him.
On Rushian Hepburn-Murphy’s introduction…
It’s an ideal time to have a look at him.
Obviously Jon could get a ban so Rushian could feature.
We now have a big game to look forward to next week – and it’s all to play for.
