Villa v Norwich tickets: Bruce eyes revenge against Canaries

Don’t miss out on our upcoming Norwich clash – as we aim for four home wins on the spin.

Steve Bruce has led the claret and blues to victories over Derby County, Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday and now wants the scalp of the Canaries.

Norwich won the corresponding fixture at Carrow Road 1-0 in December 2016, Nelson Oliveira placed a 25-yard shot into the corner.

Bruce will now want to exact revenge for Villa against a club he played for very successfully.

Bruce scored the team's winning goal in the semi-final of the 1985 League Cup against rivals Ipswich Town - and was named man of the match in Norwich's victory over Sunderland in the final.

He was voted Norwich Player of the Year, but the team was relegated to the Second Division and then played in every match as the Canaries won promotion back to the top division at the first time of asking in the 1985/86 season.

The following campaign, the new captain helped the club to its highest ever league finish of fifth.

In December 1987, shortly before his 27th birthday, Bruce officially left Carrow Road for Old Trafford but Norwich fans remembered his contribution and in 2002 voted him into their Hall of Fame.

The game takes place on Saturday April 1, with a 3pm kick-off.
