Analysis

Villa U18s came from behind to secure an impressive away win against West Ham at Little Heath.

Jordan Cox levelled before settling up Harvey Knibbs for the winner. The Hammers took the lead against the run of play just after half an hour courtesy of Korrey Henry.

Villa’s response was impressive and Cox levelled proceedings after Jake Doyle-Hayes’ had been parried by the goalkeeper just shy of the interval.

They could have added to their tally before the break only to be denied by the West Ham stopper.

The second half saw Villa continue to play well and deservedly take the lead with Knibbs converting following some excellent play by Jordan Cox - it was the forward's fifth goal in two games.

West Ham pressed late in the game for the equaliser but Villa stood firm taking the three points from a very positive performance.

David Hughes’ side can now look forward to consecutive home games against Leicester and Manchester City in their FA Youth Cup quarter-final.
