Aston Villa is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Henri Lansbury.
The 26-year-old arrives at the club on a four-and-a-half-year deal and joins us from Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee.
Lansbury, who came through the ranks at Arsenal under Arsene Wenger, becomes Steve Bruce’s second signing of the transfer window.
The former England U21 international has won promotion to the Premier League on two occasions with both Norwich City and West Ham United.
And he’s hoping to make it a hat-trick with Aston Villa.
He said: “I am delighted to be here at Aston Villa.
“As soon as I knew Aston Villa were interested, I wanted to come here.
“It’s the size and reputation of the football club that attracted me. It’s a big, big name in the English game and I can’t wait to get started here now.”
