Steve Bruce has appointed Gary Walsh as his first team goalkeeping coach.
Walsh arrives from Hull City and will be working with Pierluigi Gollini, Mark Bunn and Jed Steer.
He joins Stephen Clemence in making the switch from Humberside.
Walsh played alongside Bruce at Manchester United – racking up 50 appearances at Old Trafford.
Playing spells at Oldham Athletic, Middlesbrough, Bradford City and Wigan Athletic then followed.
After beginning his coaching career in his latter playing days at Wigan, he enjoyed coaching spells at Derby County and Hartlepool United.
Walsh was then snapped up by former team-mate Nick Barmby to take over as goalkeeping coach at Hull City in December 2011 where he worked closely with Bruce until his departure in July 2016.
