All-square in this late afternoon Midlands derby with neither side able to find that important breakthrough in front of goal.
We looked the more likely over the 90 minutes, with several impressive efforts which could have heralded three points on another day.
Ross McCormack and Gary Gardner smashed against the woodwork in the opening 45 minutes while Libor Kozak, a second half substitute, looked to have scored in the closing stages but his header at the back post from a McCormack corner was inches wide.
Tommy Elphick also watched a header cleared off the line by Will Hughes.
The Rams came back into it after the break.
Tom Ince was the danger man for the hosts in the second 45 minutes.
First he made Pierluigi Gollini make a great save before sending a dangerous free-kick just over the Italian’s crossbar.
Ashley Westwood also managed to force clear a Richard Keogh header, which was destined for the net.
It was a well-contested derby but no-one could find that all-important decider.
