Villa social inclusion officer Mike Wynter has spoken of the "humbling and overwhelming" experience of spreading the claret and blue gospel in Kenya this month - and he's advising others to follow in his footsteps.
Wynter, who works in our Villa in the Community department, headed out to the East African country on a friendly football mission.
One part of his trip was to deliver goods as part of our kit amnesty project.
Supporters have been donating their old tops - and Wynter jetted out to hand them over to children in some of the poorest parts of the impoverished country.
The shirts are being shared between Kericho Town and the Women's and Children's Wellness Centre in Nairobi.
At Kericho Town, too, Villa - through funding from the Barclays Premier League - are helping to build a football pitch as part of a community sports facility.
The new community sports facility will be used to encourage the youth of the area to take up more positive activities during their spare time in a bid to eradicate anti-social behaviour.
Once the project is completed, Villa are hoping to work with the Premier League to introduce the 'Premier Skills' coaching programme, as well as a Kicks-inspired scheme, similar to the one that the club runs in Birmingham.
Wynter works on the Kicks scheme for Villa - and was also in Kenya to find out more about how the pilot project will be delivered to the children of the country.
Winter said: "It was the experience of a lifetime.
"We're often safe and secure in our little bubble over here in the western world.
"But when you head out to places like Kenya you realise how difficult it is for many people around the globe.
"I'm so proud that we, as a club, have set up the kit amnesty project. I'm so proud that fans handed over their cherished claret and blue tops.
"And I was so proud and privileged to see the unbridled joy on the faces of the kids as they received their 'new' tops.
"I can't really explain how humbling it was.
"It was great to get involved with the future schemes for Kenya, with the help of the Premier League. It's very positive for the future and it will be great for us to be involved in helping greatly.
"Overall, It was an amazing trip and one that will live with me forever. It was incredible."
You can make a difference, yourself, too - at a reduced rate.
Villa in the Community has teamed up with African Adventures to offer supporters a unique travel experience with a difference in Kenya this November.
This volunteering opportunity allows fans a chance to give something back.
From November 9 to 16, the Villa in the Community team will spend seven days working in schools and community projects in Nakuru and Kericho - and you are invited to join them.
Volunteers can choose how they help, with project roles ranging from teaching in schools and working with underprivileged children, to football and multi-sports coaching.
Volunteers of all ages welcome but U18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit.
There will also be the chance for volunteers to see the continent's famous wildlife on a safari in Lake Nakuru National Park, as well as a number of other natural wonders the region has to offer.
The money you would need to raise to go on the trip of a lifetime has been reduced considerably this month.
It has gone down from £2,650 to £2,300.
