Villa's reserves are looking to reclaim top spot in the Barclays Premier Reserve League South when they take on Wolves in a rearranged clash at Bodymoor Heath today.

The match was due to take place last night at Hinckley United but was postponed following a pitch inspection at the Leicestershire venue.

A victory in the West Midlands derby would put the claret and blues clear of West Bromwich Albion, who currently lead the division on goals scored.

The second string made a solid start to 2012 with a well-earned point at Arsenal last week.

Michael Drennan continued his impressive run of form by heading Villa in front after three minutes in a clash which saw the debut of Republic of Ireland U21 full-back Enda Stevens.

But the Gunners hit back and salvaged a point through Jon Toral.

Tonight's game against the Black Country outfit serves as a fitting precursor to this weekend's Barclays Premier League encounter between the two first teams at Molineux.

Villa and Wolves met at reserve level back in October when a pair of instinctive finishes from Callum Robinson gave Kevin MacDonald's team a 2-1 win, after Zeli Ismael had put the hosts ahead.
