Gabby Agbonlahor has been ruled out of today's game against Wigan after being taken ill overnight.
The England striker has been omitted from the squad after waking up this morning feeling unwell with a bad headache.
However, there's better news on the forward front with Emile Heskey declared fit for the clash against the Latics.
Richard Dunne is also available but Jean II Makoun has been ruled out.
Heskey was absent from the Baggies clash with a knee problem while Dunne had to be substituted in the second half of the derby game with a deadleg.
But both have trained and recovered sufficiently to be eligible for the Latics match.
Makoun has returned to light training alongside the physiotherapist but hasn't participated in any ball work with the rest of the squad.
The all-action central star will not be risked ahead of Villa's penultimate home game of the season and will sit on the sidelines along with Agbonlahor.
The latest on Heskey and Dunne has boosted assistant boss Gary McAllister as he looks for a positive result today.
