Andras Stieber

Andras Stieber

Andras Stieber enjoyed more injury frustration in 2011-12 having already battled back from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The Hungarian wideman spent most of the campaign on the sidelines with another long-term lay-off.

He fought back from a cruciate problem in to figure for the reserves and youth sides in the second half of 2010-11.

Stieber made several impressive appearances for the second string - including a fine display in the 10-1 win over Arsenal at Hinckley.

Unfortunately his season ended early again when he sustained another injury in a defeat against Wolves reserves at Compton.

The talented midfielder was on the periphery of Villa's run to the FA Youth Cup final in 2009-10, mainly appearing as a substitute.

But he impressed when called upon at youth level and managed to get himself on the scoresheet on several occasions in the Premier Academy League.

Andras is the younger brother of former Villa reserve team star Zoltan Stieber, who now plays for German top-flight outfit Mainz 05.
