Man City v Villa: Lambert - This is a night to really relish
Paul Lambert says this evening's encounter with Man City is a "night to relish."
Lambert believes his team can thrive after the relegation pressure was alleviated with the win over Hull at the weekend.
The boss thinks his players can now head to the Etihad Stadium in relaxed mood and aim to show the pace and grace that has been evident in several games this season already.
However, the manager is well aware what is at stake for the Blues - and the quality of all the players in their huge squad.
Asked if it was a night to relish, he said: "That's what you are hoping. You go there with the shackles off. The pressure isn't there for us. They are really strong though.
"You're going to have to run a lot without the ball, work really hard without the ball but you also know you have to go and try to win a game. That's what we will try to do.
"We're not going there just to make up the numbers. We will try to win.
"But whichever team Man City put out has world-class players. That's what you're up against.
"But you'll go there in a better state than before the Hull game."
