Holt: We're all hurting - but now we must focus on Hull clash
Grant Holt says Villa were "annoyed and disappointed" by the defeat to Swansea - but insists they must come out fighting against Hull.
Holt was a second-half substitute in Saturday's clash at the Liberty Stadium but was powerless to prevent the claret and blues going down 4-1.
The on-loan forward reckons it is imperative the players forget about the result in South Wales and instead channel their focus towards the massive game against the Tigers.
"We're annoyed, we're hurting and we've got to come out and go again next week," said Holt.
"We're disappointed with the manner of it in the end. We didn't feel it was a 4-1 which makes it look a lot worse than it was.
"We performed well in the first half and we were disappointed to be 2-1 down.
"We knew we needed another goal and we came out and got sucker punched.
"After that to be fair to them they kept the ball and moved it and the pressure was off them a little bit. We just couldn't get the goals that we needed."
Holt felt the second Swansea goal - a stunning Jonjo Shelvey strike from near the halfway life - was the turning point in Saturday's encounter.
"We're disappointed in the manner of the second goal," he added.
"It was a fantastic finish but we were disappointed to give the ball away so cheaply when we were in control of it. But that's football."
