Swansea v Villa stats: Albrighton the key man this weekend?
While Villa will likely be the underdogs for most, the visitors - and in particular Paul Lambert - have a decent record against the Swans.
The Midlands outfit are unbeaten in the last three encounters between the sides and Lambert hasn't lost a game against Swansea in the Premier League, managing against them on five occasions since his Norwich side were promoted along with this weekend's opponents in 2011.
Since then, the Swans have become renowned for their passing football and ability to retain possession, with only Southampton averaging more this season (58.4%).
Villa, however, are geared up to play on the counter attack, with only Liverpool having scored more goals from fast-break situations in the top-flight (4).
Lambert's young lions will likely wait for their chances, attempting to catch Swansea out of position at the back.
To do so they'll need their creative players on song and Marc Albrighton proved what an asset to the team he can be again last time out.
A traditional winger, the Villa graduate has looked to get balls into the box as often as possible this season in an attempt to supply the ammunition for his striking team-mates.
That was certainly the case against Southampton, with the wideman engaged in an intriguing duel with the impressive Luke Shaw, delivering 15 crosses into the danger area.
It's been a feature of Albrighton's game since he emerged through Villa's youth ranks, only needing half a yard to whip balls into the box.
Indeed, of every player with 10 or more Premier League appearances this season, he has both attempted (every 5.6 minutes) and completed (every 21.1 minutes) a cross the most often.
It's clear then that the Villa man's efforts have been fruitful with regards to picking out his claret and blue colleagues.
In terms of chance creation he stands among an elite group in England's top-flight.
Albrighton has made a key pass every 25 minutes in the league this season, which is enough to rank second in the domestic division.
With only David Silva above him, the players that complete the top 10 are some of the very best in the league, with Mesut Ozil, Eden Hazard and Luis Suarez among them.
Since returning from a loan spell at Wigan, the winger has certainly proven his worth to the club and he'll be hoping for a similarly active role in this Saturday's trip to the Liberty Stadium.
