Man Utd v Villa: Albrighton reveals Old Trafford motivation
Marc Albrighton says Villa will use their Stoke frustration as motivation when they head to Old Trafford on Saturday.
The claret and blues go into the clash against Manchester United on the back of a 4-1 defeat to Stoke - a result which Albrighton claims left the players devastated.
But the 24-year-old insists Paul Lambert's team will come out fighting at the home of the Red Devils.
He believes Villa have shown on numerous occasions in the past couple of seasons the ability to dig deep after some testing experiences.
"We've been in this situation before and we know what it takes," said Albrighton.
"We've got players with experience that have been there and done it over the past few years and I think that will help us going into the last few games when every point counts.
"If we can go to Old Trafford, put in a performance and get a result, everyone will forget about Sunday."
Albrighton admits Villa's struggle to follow up positive results against the Barclays Premier League's top teams is puzzling.
Lambert's side have defeated Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea this term but failed to win the next game.
Nevertheless, Albrighton wants another big scalp on this weekend.
"We've got a habit of doing that - getting a great result against a big team and the following week not building on it and not making strides from it," he added.
"Sunday was a perfect example of that and we are terribly disappointed and we are hoping to put that right at Old Trafford."
