Honours Even Against Red Devils
Villa's second string hit a last minute goal to salvage a 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Villa Park.

Stefan Moore volleyed home from a Peter Hynes centre in the 90th minute to draw level and ensure Villa stay top of the FA Premier Reserve League.

Peter Crouch opened the scoring in the eighth minute, after a mix-up in the heart of the Red Devils' defence. Danny Pugh hit a pass back to Roy Carroll, but his clearance slammed into the oncoming Crouch, who guided the ball into the empty net.

United levelled on 40, when Colin Heath burst through to slam his shot past Stefan Postma. On 52, United took a 2-1 lead, Lee Roche playing an exquisite ball onto hot-shot Daniel Nardiello. He broke the offside trap to slip the ball past the tall Dutchman.

The introduction of Hynes for Jonathan Bewers made all the difference for the claret and blue troops as his no-nonsense style upset the Red Devils. He had two half chances himself before he turned provider for Moore's last minute strike.
